| A little background:
Lent has always held untold possibilities for trouble/fun. But it's also always been one of those opportunities that was ignored because a lot of friends were really devout in their beliefs. People always asked what I gave up for lent, and I'd always say nothing, which isn't technically true. I always gave up the chance to abuse lent.
The reason I say this is a friend of one of my little sisters recently did one such abuse, probably on accident and he probably won't have the willpower to use it to it's full potential. He gave up speaking for lent.
As you know, our wonderful government and the systems under it, INCLUDING SCHOOL, has to respect religious freedoms. Therefore they cannot under any circumstances force him to talk, or punish him for not talking, for the duration of lent. :P About now people are realizing the implications.
So yeah, even if the kid doesn't use it to it's potential for causing a little fun in the schoolday, at least he had the thought. My faith in the younger generation came back just a bit. Still not enough to forgive them for the pop music, but a little.
Peace

| Well happy new years all. In demonstration of the new year, i was planning on hanging out w/ some friends today. 3 things made that not work. Waking up at 3pm. One not answering the cell. The other being busy.
Oh wells. I try, i really do! :P It's cool, we can try to do something before i go back, which depending on the emails i get returned, may be very very soon. :(
OOOH! Here's a funny for anyone who knows me. A friends mom thought i was drinking champagne and was all indignant about it and how they were "nice and didn't say anything". I was the only one with clear liquid in my glass, the others had root beer. Now this is funny because everyone who knows me knows that it's water. Period. And that i dislike most thoughts of drinking in general. It's a waste of money, usually a waste of a lot of money, and things are funnier sober. If they're not, you need to learn to loosen up.
Anyway that's life how it exists, thought it was interesting so I had to share. Eye appointment in the morning, let's see how much more blind i am.
Peace

| What i've accomplished this semester:
Girlfriend not dead - Check. She was in the hospital, AGAIN, although this time it was a lot serious. Weekend of thanksgiving she went and got herself food poisoning so that was an annoying ER visit. This time she was in since sunday of last week and got out around wednesday under fishy doctors approval, but she's wellish and moving and seems for the most part ok now, so yay! P.s. I'm not trying to kill her, I swear. Honestly. Btw hun, DRINK WATER.
Finals - Eh.... I have 3 that matter. I had 5 classes, but one screwed me over royally by not letting me retake a test when i was sleeping for 18+ hours per day for like 5 days straight. Damn i didn't have a doctors note but still. Was cured by the time i was going to go to a doctor. Waking up at 8-10pm sucks, esp when you went to bed at midnight.
However, I have accomplished my first final of the year, java 2, and I finished the bonus objective too, let's see what it was: Bonus objective 1. Take a final in a bathrobe. Wonder what the bonus objectives for my other two finals are...
I love being me. :P
Final Fantasy XII - Umm... first off. Let me say that this game has NO MOOGLES WHATSOEVER. It has things they call moogles, but obviously it's a mistranslation, because they aren't. And the cactuars aren't really cactuars either. The moogles are bunny.... ish.. type things... They just look wrong. However it does have some VERY ugly chickens. Quite amusing really.
I may finish getting my room somewhat situated just in time to move home for christmas break. Woot! Oh, and we had snow, lots of snow. I was productive and built a giant delta T out in front of the manor. For those who don't know, a delta T is a T inscribed within a triangle, a symbol of my fraternity, which is Triangle. I'll have pictures eventually... just haven't gotten around to getting them up.
Umm, that's about all i can think of, so p... oh, wait. CEBU!
Peace

| So yeah, people have been bitching at me to make a post, but i've been busy. Well now i'm less busy, but that won't last long, because i gotta make myself really busy this week.
But basically all that i have to say at this point is simply this. Some people can't take a joke. It's sad. Or maybe you have people who just want a free meal out of the deal...
Who knows. What I do know is that a policy which i've done without fail on almost every ticket at my old job at Ihop in OKC and i did pretty successfully at this one caused hell yesterday.
See, i like to make people happy. As a side affect, they leave a better tip, but mostly it's just good to give people something to smile about. So at the bottom of any check i hand to people at ihop, i write a joke with the answer on the back, a smiley face, and have a nice day.
For example: Why is it illegal to have a butterknife sitting next to a salt shaker? Because it's a salt with a deadly weapon.
Apparently if someone doesn't appreciate humor, it's enough to get you fired on the spot, as well as paying for their ticket, which was $50+. So not only did going into work yesterday serve to be pointless, it actually cost me money, even with salary i probably lost $10 going into work. So yeah... got some free time until i get a new job. But i should have one by the end of the week, just gotta look around.
So that's life in a bottle, school's been busy, moving stuff and helping out around the manor has been busier, and fall rush has been even more busy. So yeah. There's your update guys.
Peace
